Cisternino is located in the province of Brindisi and is one of the traditional villages belonging to this area: white houses in the center of the village, trulli and olive trees dotting all the countryside around.
It is located a short distance from the sea. 80 km far from Bari airport and 50 km from Brindisi airport. There's a train station. Inter-municipal TPL services are the main public transport service linking Cisternino to the near centers and regional main towns. Ferrovie del Sud Est offers an important railway connection to "Cisternino center", in particular the Martina Franca-Lecce railway line just a few hundred meters from the town center as well as the wheel transport to Martina Franca and Taranto.
